music that changed my life

Hello everyone! And welcome back to Lots of Lemons! Today I want to talk to you about music!

Music is a massive part of my life! It can plan what type of makeup  and what style of clothing I wear, along with the mood for my day. It has made me happy and smile, laugh and dance, and sad. So, here is a list of songs and albums that have changeed my life! 

1. If I'm Being Honest - dodie

This song... Holy crap did it change my life! I remember it first being released, and hearing it for the first time. I was on a train on the way home to little old Wales. I had it on repeat for the whole 4 hour journey. 

At that time, I was struggling with feelings, trying to pretend to be happy, in order to not make people worry so much about me. This song sort of helped me to open up to myself a bit more. I remember when I took my break from Dodie's music, I was heart broken that I couldn't listen to this song. 

In short, this song made me feel things I've never felt before, it made me ask myself the question... What makes me human?

2. Dissolve - Absofacto 

I discovered this song on TikTok of all places, but it defined my dress style for a short time. I would listen to this song as I put on a pair of jeans, and tucked my vest into them with a crop top on. I would wear a pair of van style shoes, and have this consent state of bleh when I took a selfie. I had turned into an angsty teen at the age of 20. 

Despite me turning into a moody teen, I was actually pretty happy.

3. Indie/Rock/Alt Compilation - April 2018  - Alex Rainbird Music

This playlist... This fucking playlist!!!! Holy mother of all things good! This playlist is filled with the most beautiful full music! However... I have banned myself from listening to this playlist at night, due to the powerful lyrics in these songs literally making me feel like pure shit. 

So!!! If you want a playlist full of powerful songs... Then give this listen!

4. Heathers: The Musical (World Premiere Cast Recording)

This was one of the first cast albums I ever listened to, and it changed my life! It it one of the reasons I love musical theatre, and why I still sing to this day.

I just love how each song tells the story, and the small details, like Kurt's emotion in Our Love is God, that breaks me everytime I listen to it!

If you're looking for a new musical to listen to, I highly reccommend it... And Blue is such a bop!

5. Blue Neighbourhood - Troye Sivan

This album, basically defined my teens. I love Troye, and it has been amazing seeing how his music has developed over the years. 

When I first listened to this album, I instently fell in love. I was at the peak of my YouTuber fan phase, and this album was what I needed to become obsessed.

6. Colors - Halsey

This song brings me a lot of memories, it is from my time when I was coming to terms with my sexuality, and figuring out that I was Pansexual. 

In fact, I have a lot to thank this song for... Like my obsession with girls with blue hair and piercings...

SO! This is my list of songs and albums that changed my life... I will probably discover a new song that will define who I am right after posting this, but thats fine!
